In this video I explain what is a nonprofit. A non profit organization differs from a for profit business in a few key ways. First and foremost, a nonprofit organization must exist to help improve some cause. Examples of such causes can be to help a community, homelessness, nature, human rights, animal rights, or a number of other causes.

The other thing that makes an nonprofit organization is the tax expemption they get from the IRS. Additionally, there are some restrictions about how a nonprofit must distribute its profit.
